Xu Ying

She obtained a bachelor's degree in Chinese dance performance and education from Beijing Dance Academy, a master's degree in modern dance performance and choreography from CWRU University in the United States with a full scholarship, and studied at the world-class Laban Academy of Arts in London, UK. Ms. Xu Ying won the prestigious Henry Kurth Dance Award and the EvaL.Pancoast Dance Award. She has taught in the Dance Department of the University of Pennsylvania, the Dance Department of Coker University, and the Dance Department of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has been invited to serve as a judge for the National High School Dance Competition and a guest lecturer for the National College Dance Festival. Teacher Xu Ying's original dance works won the first prize for performance and creation at the London International Dance Festival, the Hungary International Dance Festival, the Tokyo International Dance Festival, and the Bosnia International Dance Festival
